Yesterday’s lunch felt like eating a dish from a hotel buffet. The lamb in our kaldereta was so tender and flavorful. It did not have any unpleasant smell. We bought it from S&R and was not very pricey. Lambs are very good source of protein and the cuts we bought have fats on it so it was a perfect keto meat. The Caldereta did not have tomato sauce but real tomatoes. While tomatoes are low calorie, they are actually high in sugar so should be used sparingly while on Keto or low carb.
I know the pechay is out of place (haha). But I saw that we have a bunch in our vegetable crisper so I thought why not sauté it so we have our low carb veggie serving.
